Sunday, Oct. 17 -- A day of Authentic Florida

Dudley Farm is an authentic pioneer farmstead from the 1800's. They have a guide leader who provides a tour of the farmhouse and actual working farm which produces sugar cane, corn, etc. They also give demos on grinding the cane and corn. Farm animals are also present. There is also a small gift shop.

It is about a 30 minute bus ride from Gainesville. The group left around 1:00 p.m. and returned by 4:00 for a rest before the evening reception.

$10.00 per adult, children no charge


Monday, Oct. 18 -- Tour of Gainesville

9:00-12:00 a.m. - Tours of Museum of Natural History, Lepidoptera, and Harn Art Museum. Docents were on hand to provide tours.

Then, a bus to luncheon site:

Kanapaha Botanical Gardens (The Water Garden)2:00-4:00 p.m. -- Kanapaha Botanical Gardens

A walking tour of 62 acres of Florida gardens which includes a vinery, state's biggest species collection of bamboo and herbs, rock plantings and sunken gardens.

Back to hotels by 4:30 to rest before evening's banquet.

Tuesday, Oct. 19 -- St. Augustine

Trolley Tour

Must see: Castillo De San Marcos
Lunch may be on your own

Back on Bus by 3:00 and back to rooms by 4:30 - 5:00 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 20 -- Silver Springs
